Journey is very similar to Rime. It has a story, but you have to figure out what it is. You play a character made out of paper. He has 6 abilities: he can move in four directions, he can jump and he can fly. The ”stamina” you can fly with is represented by the length of the characters scarf.
You can’t call this game hard. Most of the time you just walk or fly towards a mountain a temple or something similar. It has got some simple puzzles or platforming sequences, but these are too easy.
More interestingly, the game is multiplayer. Someone can randomly join your ”world”. Maybe you won’t even meet, because he can’t catch up to you. The only way of communication between the two players is with tunes, and you will only get to know your partner’s name at the end of the game. Its message is not at the end of the journey, the message is the path you walk on. This game had a high chance of being the game of the year in 2012.
